It's been a busy month building up the video content for Screen Stockport as Little Wonder film a number of interviews with industry professionals. On 8th February we interviewed Daikin Marsh, the director of BBC's Holby City who lives in Stockport. Daikin was really helpful and explained the complexities of filming the popular hospital drama.
On 21st February we travelled to Whaley Bridge to interview the film producer Michael Knowles of Made Up North productions who welcomed us into his home. Michael's company produced the independent feature films 'A Boy Called Dad' starring Ian Hart and 'Best Laid Plans' with Maxine Peake. Michael was great to talk to and gave us an insight into the ups and down of being a film producer.
On 26th February we had a visit from our old friend former NME journo Len Brown. Len is a television producer, director and author with a stella CV that includes producing prestigious music documentaries such as 'Dandy in the Underworld' - the definitive documentary on Marc Bolan and the highly-acclaimed 'My Generation' series for Channel 4.
During this month we also get together with the charming presenter Clare Lancaster, who has her own daily show on Stockport's Pure Radio. Clare pops round for a cup of tea and gives us a great interview about how she got into radio presenting.
All these interviews can be viewed on Screen Stockport's website in the Screen Stockport 'Episodes' and 'Spotlight' series at www.screenstockport.co.uk
